Contraindications & Pre Procedure Information
There are many Contraindications for Hair Removal. Please ready carefully the list below. Please be honest with your information as not disclosing information may cause serious harm.
Please read the pre Treatment information below before booking with us to ensure you come to your appointment fully prepared.
Please remember SHR does help to reduce all hair colours. Darker hair colours always respond better to removal. Lighter hairs are able to be reduced but will not get the same results as dark hair
WE CAN NOT PROVIDE HAIR REMOVAL FOR YOU IF:

You are Pregnant or Breast Feeding

You are on Acne Medication eg Roaccutane/Doxylene ( you must be off this for 6 months)

You have skin Cancer
-
You have Keloid Scarring
-
You have a pace maker/Defibrillator

WE NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU BEFORE BOOKING IF:

You are on Blood Thinners

Melanoma runs in your family
-
You have implants/ or recent surgery in your chosen area

You have a History of Herpes/Cold sores

You have an inflammatory skin condition on the area being treated eg eczema
PLEASE ENSURE YOU:
-
Shave the area being treated 12-24 hours before your appointment

Wear lose clothing to your appointment and for 12 hours post treatment

Refrain from exposing the treated area to the sun for three days pre procedure

Have no broken skin in the treatment area

Do not using tanning product two weeks prior to treatment
-
Do not use deodorant on the day of treatment
-
Avoid waxing/plucking/threading for at least four weeks before your appointment
​Post Care:

Redness & Bumps are normal.
Immediately after your treatment, redness & bumps at the treatment area are common; these may last up to 2 hours or longer. It is normal for the treated area to feel like a sunburn for a few hours. You should use a cold compress if the sensitivity continues. -
No makeup & lotion/moisturizer/deodorant for the first 24 hours.
Keep the treated area clean & dry, if further redness or irritation persists, skip your makeup & moisturizer, & deodorant (for underarms) until the irritation has subsided. -
Cleanse the area treated gently.
The treated area may be washed gently with a mild soap. Skin should be patted dry & not rubbed during the first 48 hours. -
Dead hairs will begin to shed 5-30 days after your treatment.
Stubble, representing dead hair being shed from the hair follicle, will appear within 5-30 days from the treatment date. that is normal & they will fall out quickly. -
Exfoliate to speed up hair shedding when you notice hairs starting to fall out.

Avoid the sun to reduce the chance of dark or light spots for 2 months. Use sunscreen (spf 25 or higher) at all times throughout the treatment period & for 1-2 months following.

Do not pick/scratch/wax/thread/tweeze the area.
Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin. do not use any other hair removal methods or products, other than shaving, on the treated area during the course of your laser treatments, as it will prevent you from achieving the best results.
